What makes Ebenezer different
Results you can understand
In October 2026 we introduced our own new laboratory report and nursing forms: a new standard for patient results in Ibanda.
Your laboratory report
- Every result sits next to its units and its normal range, so you and your doctor can see at a glance what is normal.
- Results above or below the normal range are clearly marked H (high) or L (low) and shaded.
- Test names come with plain words, for example “HGB: haemoglobin” and “WBC: white blood cells”.
- Dangerously abnormal results are phoned to the doctor straight away, and the call is written down.
- A second person cross-checks every report before it is released, and each report is marked preliminary, final or amended.

If you are admitted or come in as an emergency
- Our nurses record your vital signs on an early-warning (NEWS2) chart, which tells them exactly when to call the doctor.
- Your medicines, drips and blood sugar are recorded on their own charts, so nothing is missed between shifts.
- Emergency patients are triaged and assessed step by step on a standard emergency sheet.
- Our nurses have a written guide for diabetes emergencies and for filling in every form.
- If you need care we do not provide, we will tell you and refer you, with a written referral form.
